BMD於今日發布Blackmagic Camera 6.9.6版韌體更新，6.9.6版針對Blackmagic攝影機和Studio Fiber Converter改進了音訊輸出聲道選擇，為您選擇在哪裡映射音訊輸入提供了更大的靈活性。對講1和2增加了對講側音(sidetone)調整，讓攝影師可將其自己的說話聲混合到耳機中，並且，如果耳麥需要幻象電源(phantom power)，現在可以在Blackmagic Studio Fiber Converter選單中將其開啟或關閉。
Blackmagic Camera 6.9.6版韌體更新還為下變換12G PGM 回送增加了SDI Level A和B 選擇以及鎖定雙電平同步(bi-level reference)的功能，提供了更大的相容性。升級後HDR得以改進，可以正確地監看Rec 2020 Hybrid Log Gamma或PQ Gamma信號。本次更新還改進了光圈控制和同步時間準確性，以及SMPTE光纖的穩定性。
此外，本次更新還修復了某些藍牙命令在Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera上沒有反應的問題。

Installing Blackmagic Camera Utility
Before installing the software, it is recommend that you "Uninstall Cameras” first.
While installing Camera Update on URSA Mini and URSA Broadcast you may notice a pause around the 10% mark in the install process, this is normal and will continue installing after around 20 seconds.
While installing Camera Update on Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, 6K or URSA Mini Pro G2, you may notice a pause around the 70% mark in the install process, this is normal. Please do not power off the camera as it may still be in the middle of the update process. During this process, the LED on the front of the camera will also flash white. When the update is completed, the camera will restart into its normal operating state.
After loading the software on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera PL, EF or MFT, you may notice a slight flickering on the built-in LCD screen. This is normal and expected behavior. The flickering will go away after a few minutes of operation.
